Interesting Facts About Pablo Picasso

The Person

Although the world knows him as Pablo Picasso, his full name was 'Pablito Diego Jose Santiago Francisco de Paula Juan Nepomuceno Crispin Crispiniano de los Remedios Cipriano de la Santisima Trinidad Ruiz Blasco y Picasso Lopez'. Till the age of nineteen he used the name Ruiz Blasco after his father before changing his name after his mother. Picasso liked to enjoy the time in the company of his friends when he was not painting. His friends were as distinguished as Gertrude Stein, Andre Breton and Apollinaire. He was never satisfied with one life partner. There always used to be mistresses to give him company besides his wife. His most distinguished lover was the famous artist Dora Maar.

Guernica

Guernica (1937) is possibly the most famous war painting of Picasso. Guernica is a place in Spain which was devastated by German bombing. The dark and somber mood of this painting reflects Picasso's attitude to war and depicts its brutal and inhuman nature. This painting was in the Museum of Modern Art in New York till 1981 when it was returned to Spain. In fact Picasso rued about the absence of democracy in his native country Spain and instructed that Guernica be kept out of Spain till return of democracy to that country. The painting is adorning the wall of Queen Sofia's Museum in Madrid since 1992.

The Rebel

Picasso was rebellious in rejecting traditional art forms and constantly experimented with new art styles. He had this attitude for being different from a young age. As a teenage boy at the Royal Academy of Madrid where he was sent by his father for training, he used to wear unconventional dresses and kept long hair. Such rebellious behavior and non-traditional approach to painting annoyed his father a great deal. Picasso's days in Paris where he went in 1900 to learn art staying in a damp decrepit building were difficult as he remained so absorbed in his works that he even forgot his food and barely survived.

My Online Business Saved My Life

In September 2003 I had to make a choice: Either pay a dentist so he would fix my 5 year olds painful cracked teeth or pay our car insurance so it wouldn't be canceled.

We made 2 decisions that day, to pay for the dentist and to never ever let a decision like that have to be made again.

We had heard a lot about people making money online but we didn't know the first thing about it. So we started doing research and really reading about the Money Making Methods which can be found online.

Our first attempt to make money online was Ebay. Ebay is a good format and we used Ebay for about a year actually making about 3-4 thousand dollars per month. But with Ebays fees continually rising and profits shrinking I would Not recommend Ebay as a business. Its great for clearing out the garage or finding some hard to get items but No not as a business, a compliment to a business yes, but not as a business itself.

We ended up purchasing a couple different ebooks which promised to help us make money online and they indeed did work. With the combination of a website, Google AdSense, and these programs we were able to make a very good supplemental income.

By April 2004 we had moved to Ohio, I took a higher paying Quality Engineering position and our online business was doing extremely well. We starting to pay off old debts and really saving money. This was when I met Eric Rogers at Pattens Martial Arts, a local training center. He introduced me to some of the Online Programs he used and was making money with and recommended them to me.

Have you ever felt like your mind was trying to wake up from a bad dream but unfortunately that dream was reality? That's how I felt getting up day after day going to a job that stole time away from my life and my family. I hated the fact that I had to trade time for money and that I had to ask permission to take a day off. I knew that I wasn't living life the way I wanted to I was living the life the way I was dictated to.

We made the decision to invest most of our free time into learning everything we could from Mr. Rogers and the programs he used. His program reviews and recommendations were accurate and helpful enough that on December 11th 2004 I quit my job and have been only Making money online ever since.

I live life My Way. No job can steal my time, no more trading time for money.

Lead Generation on Autopilot

Have you ever asked yourself, how can I get more business for free?

As a Business Owner, building a list of prospects should be step one in your marketing plan. The more focused and targeted your leads are the greater your chance will be of getting more sales.

Another way to bring in business with little money is to set up an automatic lead generation program by simply offering something valuable to your target audience.

Of course, you can't get effective results by just offering just any freebie, such as a $25 visa gift card; otherwise this would attract everyone on your block and their hairdresser.

The most economical method would be to create an eBook filled with useful information that would be of interest to your target audience.

For example, in December, 2007, I wrote a book called Business Credit 101. After writing this Book, I was then faced with the task of finding qualified leads.

To generate leads, I took 10% of the content of this book, turned it into an eBook and offered it for free by placing ads on craigslist in every major city such as Boston, San Francisco Bay, Philadelphia, Atlanta etc. for a free EBook which simply read.

Need Business Credit?
For a free list of 77 Sources for Business Credit, send a blank email to info@BusinessCreditSources.info

I then used the automatic responder feature in my email to automatically deliver the eBook, and of course, I now have the contact info (email address) of the requestor.

Using this technique, I was able to get 167 leads in just 11 days and didn't cost me a dime, except the time it took me to write the small eBook, and post a few ads on craigslist.

To generate more than 167 leads in an 11 day period, of course you will need more ads on craigslist.

The task of posting ads on craigslist can be time consuming; however there is also a way to systematize that process too by using custom software such as ADBomber. This software can automatically post your ads for you.

Once you have your leads in-house, you don't want your marketing material to be peppered with a bunch of self praises, such as, "You're #1 in your area", "Your website received 1000's of hits in the past month". Etc. Make sure your marketing communication is benefit oriented.

If done correctly, Craigslist and other similar websites can be utilized to set up your automatic lead generation machine for your business.

How to Match Web Site Content to Visitors' Decision Making Stage

An important question to answer when creating or revising a Web site is "What are my visitors' needs?" The answer will drive your site design and marketing decisions.

Customer Decision Making Process

One way to understand visitor needs is to think in terms of the customer decision-making process. Visitor needs vary depending upon their stage in the decision making process.

Karon Thackston, copywriter and proprietor at Marketing Words (http://www.MarketingWords.com) explains by breaking the customer decision making process (i.e. buying process) into at least four stages: Need/Want Recognition, Information Search, Evaluation, and Purchase.

If a visitor has already made the decision to purchase a product or service, for example, she needs easy ordering options. If the customer is early in the decision making process, however, she needs more general information.

Information or Sales Oriented Content?

Dee Kreidel, owner of Dax Development Corporation, recommends identifying a site as either an information site (for early decision stages) or a sales site (for late decision stages), but not both:

"Our experience with our clients demonstrates that most people will not shop at a site if they see it as an informational site because their state of mind/focus is different when they are there -- they aren't necessarily looking to shop, they are wanting information."

Attracting the Right Visitors

By understanding your site visitors' decision-making process and providing them with the right information, you can convert more visitors to purchase. Attracting more of the right visitors can improve conversions as well.

Managing a Sales Site

If you own a sales site, those early in the decision process are not likely to buy from you. Logically, attracting visitors who are late in the decision making process will increase conversion rates.

One way to do this is to have a presence on information sites that attract visitors in your target customer groups. On the information sites, visitors are gathering information and evaluating options. In other words, they are preparing to make a purchase.

Michelle Horstman, owner of Choice Promotional Products ( http://www.choicepromotionalproducts.com) says, "I do get hits from advertising on 'informative' sites such as www.barmitzvahfindit.com, where they have a vendor area."

For those on a limited budget, Michelle suggests purchasing advertising on sites that participate in pay-per-click programs like Overture or Google AdWords.

"When you list with Google and others on your own, you may have to pay more than your ROI would justify." She explains. "However, when you advertise with an informational site, that site can afford to pay more for the clicks, since they are supported by multiple vendors/advertisers. Ask the site if they'll offer a trial period so you can see how much traffic it is producing."

Managing an Information Site

If you run an information site, the majority of your visitors will be too early in the decision process to purchase. So how can you both attract visitors in the early decision stages and earn revenue?

You can attract information seekers by structuring each page in your site so it gives information on a specific topic. This expands the list of key words through which searchers can find your site.

Other ways to earn revenue from an information site:

- Participate in a few select affiliate programs, which you can promote on topic-specific pages in your Web site.

- Join a targeted advertising network such as Google's AdSense.

- Sell your own advertising space.

In any case, coordinating your Web site marketing and site content to match visitors' stage in the decision making process creates a win-win situation. Your visitors find the information they need and you profit -- through sales, advertising, or affiliate revenue -- by meeting those needs.
